Before diving into panels, I’ll go through the gaming experience if we use LCD that makes huge difference which is noticeable. LCD (liquid Crystal Display) are mostly used in Gaming Monitors which makes picture quality super HD, with the best display experience. No doubt it enhance your gameplay. Basically LCD has three panels that we will discuss in detail.
Three Types of LCD Panels: TN, IPS and VA
TN:
TN stands for “Twisted Nematic” which is the first type of LCD Panel that is the original version Of LCD technology. It is way too fast and more reliable as compare to others and yeah! they are the cheapest ones but best in the budget no doubt. If we go back it was produced in 1968 so, you can say it is the oldest one.
IPS:
Here comes the second one IPS(In-Plane Switching) and it already famous in gaming industry. As it was produced in Late 90s by Hitachi. IT offers you the wide viewing angles and best color scheme as compare to TN but they are not cheap as TN. You can say simply it is not budget friendly. One more thing it requires more power to run and you will notice it if you use it or if you already have used.
VA:
Third panel which s basically the last one VA(Vertical Alignment). This panel technology was produced in 1971 by Schiekel and Fahrenschon. This similar to IPS but it has more drawbacks like image quality is way too bad and you will face more ghosting issues. So basically I will not recommend it to anyone.

TN panels for gaming
Displays that uses TN comes in most affordable price range and gives you the best gaming experience. They have very fast response time but you cannot expect the pretty monitors because they are not, physically.
If we discuss its response time of TN monitors then it would be one millisecond and 5 milliseconds which is good in this budget. They do have drawbacks but the major one in my opinion is that it TN monitors have worst color space. Basically colors we in it are not accurate and one more drawback is that it have very narrow viewing angle. You will face issues in playing local multiple games if you are a gamer. So the image quality will not be as good as IPS And VA has.
IPS panels for gaming
IPS panels are best for gaming and it provides you outstanding colors with wide viewing angle that makes it attractive but yeah it is expensive then the TN Monitors but the price is worth the value.
As it comes with high level of color accuracy so you can say not only for gamers, it is the best product for designer also. IPS monitors can also look better from the side as it as IPS screens and their liquid crystal polymer moves horizontally, which makes less color distortion.
Usually it don not have any major drawback but the only drawback we face is its slow response time but you will face it in cheap prices IPS monitors. So the overall IPS is way too good for gaming with no issues.
VA panels for gaming
VA panel basically lies in between VA and IPS if we consider its features let’s take an example by comparing the features. First VA panel have good colors than TN panel but worst color reproduction than IPS. Secondly the response of VA is better than IPS panel on average but lower response time then TN on average.
The main advantage of VA which we all notice is that it has high refresh rate of 144HZ , 240HZ and 360HZ. That makes it different from other panels. You can go for it if you have low budget but you need high refresh rate then VA is the best option for you.
Friendly speaking IPS and VA giver similar user experience but if we consider the price then VA is cheaper. The price is low as compare to IPS , it may be due to the fact that IOS monitors offers better color reproduction as compare to VA.
